SF, 'cucumber and jicama cocktail'...yum!...

Now, this is my kind of cocktail! This is my favorite, 

'cocktail on the go', stand. Everyday, which is a relative

concept here, or I should say; everyday that it comes 

together for him, Edwardo has fresh'ly' peeled,

cuccumbers, pineapple, jicama, mango, watermelon,

apple, papaya...which also vary, according to the 

availability for the day.

Everytime, which is often, I watch him make one of

his creations, and they are creations, I think what a 

beautiful, simple, delightful way to nourish 

body and spirit!

SF, 'Michelada' in the making...

Just what is a "Michelada'??? And, how is one made??? 

Some of you will want to know this! This is from the 

Baja 250 event! Enjoy and take notes!

It seems that the 'Michelada' is such a super event hit that 

taco stands clear out the tacos to set up the

'nectar of event life' drink! No tacos, just give me a

'Michelada', por favor; good thing it's over half clamato 

(tomato/clam?) juice!

SF, Puertecitos, airstrip, south, dips...

Puertecitos is a little town about 50 miles south of San Felipe. Claim to fame, the tidepool/geothermal hotsprings. I don't think the airstrip makes any claims, but as evidenced by the recently landed plane, the landing strip is sufficient.

There are about a million 'vados' or dips in the road along the way. Most of them are marked by a yellow vado sign (in the slideshow); a picture of a road with a few squiggley water lines breaking the road; but many are not. Marked or not they can take you by suprise, sending passengers heads into the headliner, and making divets in the pavement. (there are lots of divets in the pavement, so you can imagine how many headaches)

'The 'V' Lounge, Red Room'

The 'V' Lounge is a recently opened bar in San Felipe, on the order of a nicer wine bar type. The whole bar is not red, only the red room; which is really orange, but tends to make everything in it look very red.

The 'V' shows movies on wednesday evenings on their big screen and is an all around nice place to go for happy hour or after dinner drinks. Put it on your list if you're making one.
